    The nation's only heavy icebreaker tied up at mid-morning March 11th at Coast Guard Base Seattle (Pier 36), after 105 days at sea in support of Operation Deep Freeze.

    The one thing you don't want to hear announced on a ship at sea is "Fire... fire... fire!"  But it happened Feb. 10 aboard the Seattle-based heavy icebreaker, more than 600 miles north of McMurdo Station, Antarctica.   Fortunately, there were no injuries.
