Chief Warrant Officer Brad Jopling, Main Propulsion assistant aboard the Seattle-based icebreaker, is not only a great project manager. He planned and carried out an emergency repair at sea, in a confined compartment being flooded by 28-degree sea water. He has been awarded the Coast Guard's 2019 Stabile Award for naval engineering.
