The Antarctic station is scheduled get a new $355 million research facility.  But delivery of the needed construction materials relies on the Seattle-based USCGC Polar Star to break a resupply channel for a few more years.  Making the 43-year-old ship last that long won't be easy, as you'll read in this USNI ARTICLE
