Coast Guard vet describes first-wave of Omaha Beach landings

Frank DeVita, then a 19-year-old Coast Guard Third Class Gunner's Mate, served in a 36-foot Higgins Boat during the first wave of landings in Normandy on June 6, 1944.   DeVita spoke at the Coast Guard Academy.   This video is long, but his first-person description is strong and moving.
